What's up with the wine room?

In a prior post I mentioned we wanted to turn one of the "rooms" in our basement in to a wine room.  Right now the only work we have done in that area is dry wall.  The wine room will be a "work in progress", but right now our attention is on my husband's gun room and office and my craftroom.

I watched a recent episode of "Brother vs. Brother" on HGTV (don't you just love them!) and was so inspired by a barrel ceiling that Jonathan did in his makeover home.  I really want to do something like this in our wine room.  I'm really looking to achieve a very vintage, old world looking wine room.  We did buy a wood door with a glass pane in it, which I would love to etch our last name initial on it.

I was looking at various websites for brick veneer and found this one Zenbuild.com

This are two of my inspiration pics from Houzz.com in my Ideabook.

I think this one is a good mix of aged looking brick.  This is the part where you're dreaming and planning and I really enjoy this process.

This is the entrance to our future wine room.  I want to put an arch just before this hallway entering it.

Update on my craft room

Hello Friends,

Well my craft room is coming along.  I have been having a lot of fun perusing inspiring pics on Houzz.com; I love that website!  I showed my inspiration pic in my last blog post.  I decided to go with Sherwin Williams Begonia.  I just love it.

I recently ordered my sconces. I didn't go with the black and gold ones that were in my previous post, but went with all brass.  I bought these from Amazon.com.  I think they'll add just that right touch I was looking for.

Next is finishing out the long wall where the sconces will go with an accent paint, I am thinking Sherwin Williams Hopeful, installing the sconces and moulding.  I have been going back and forth on flooring, but I think that will be the next big purchase for our basement renovation.

I would love any feedback.  I'd love to see your craft room also, if you have one!

Thanks for visiting.
