To Welcome Baby Boy

I found an adorable tray with some baby hangers inside.  My daughter is expecting a baby boy in January and I immediately knew I wanted to embellish it to make it a sweet organizer for this new precious life.  It already had a great design with the baby blue color and white pocodots.

I used some flower embellishments and my stash of rubber stamps and paper to create tags and a bookmark.  Beautiful white silk ribbon holds the "B" for Boy.   I used a cricuit cutter to cut out my tags.  I used Tim Holtz ink and lightly sponged around the edges of the tags and bookmark.  Add a little sparkle with Stickles.  I used an alphabet set to stamp the letter "B".

I just love the way it turned out.  Don't be afraid or turn away from an initially plain item, think outside the box; almost anything can be embellished!

Decorating has begun

I really have enjoyed decorating our new home.  We had a lot of good holiday items that we used at our old home, but adding some new items was a lot of fun.  There are different niches and architectural element to decorate, making it a fun, creative process.  I love being creative and love decorating for the holidays.  This year we are really looking forward to sharing the holidays with our family and friends in our new home.

I purchased these beautiful plates, made in Italy, from a bloggers auction a few years back.  I love the detail and texture of them.  I can layer them with any of my dishes and they look fabulous.

I purchased this beautiful candle holder set and tree from a wonderful little shop nearby.

We're almost there.

We are so close to move in!  The final finish on the wood floors is being done this weekend and a good clean up.  The house looks amazing right now and we cant wait to move in.

Weeks away from moving in.

What a journey this has been.  We are now only a few weeks again from moving in to our new home.  We are so excited, and always excited at each new feature that is installed in the house, from the lighting to the mouldings to the countertops and appliances.   For pretty much the whole main floor we chose Ben Moore's - Sea Salt.  The main bath is painted in Sail Cloth, the master bedroom has an accent wall of French Toile and our master bath is painted in Smoke Embers.  We ordered all the shades for the whole house - we are torn as to whether or not put something on the great room sliders - we really dont need the privacy - it is all wooded in our backyard.
