New Craigslist Purchase

I picked up an item this morning to revamp.  It's a twin headboard and footboard (not pictured).  The reason I liked it so much was the swirls that were on it.  Now I just have to decide if it will be generic or feminine for a little girl.  If generic I am going to go with Chalk Paint in Graphite for a base and go over it with Old White.  If feminine, probably a soft pink and possibly some other embellishment in the middle.  Not bad for $15.


What do you think??  Generic/feminine?

    I think it can go both ways...What about painting it a lighter color then distressing it? Make the details pop.
